Shilton : Baptist Church

The chapel was built in the early 19th century as a cart shed and became a place of worship in 1830.

About this church

In the middle of the 19th century it became a dwelling house for a few years while still being used as a place of worship but by the end of the century it was a full time chapel and had been restored so that it looked as it does now – a typical 19th century chapel, pews and hat pegs as well!
