Nuffield : Holy Trinity

A small Norman church remodelled in the early C14 when the North aisle was added, located at one of the highest points in the southern Chilterns, in unknapped flint with stone dressings.

About this church

The south arcade is C14 and in the north wall are C14 windows in Norman openings.

In 1850 the chancel was restored by Benjamin Ferrey and the windows and piscina are of that date. There are medieval tiles in the chancel.

The C15 roof to the nave has moulded ribs and decorative carved bosses.

The cylindrical Norman font is inscribed in Lombardic letters. T
