We are grateful to the Dean and Chapter of Christ Church for granting us a special Choral Evensong to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Trust. We shall have fine music sung by the Cathedral Girls Choir, The Frideswide Voices (for whom it will be a recruiting evening), and the Clerks of the Cathedral Choir. Afterwards, there will be a reception, weather permitting, in the Cathedral Gardens. I am delighted to say that we shall be honoured by the attendance of the Lord-Lieutenant, the High Sheriff, the Leader of the County Council, and by representatives of a range of denominations.
Please book so that we can prepare the seating and reception.
Donations: Please consider making a donation to our Heritage Fund, which is invested to provide a regular source of income for the work of the Trust. There will be a retiring collection, or you can visit our website to make a donation: ohct.org.uk/donate/ .
Important Travel Advice: If possible, do please use public transport within the City: Park and Ride buses run well into the evening between Thornhill, Pear Tree, and Redbridge and the City Centre (the road from Seacourt Tower to the city is currently closed at the station bridge). Christ Church has kindly offered us some parking on the college grounds, but it is strictly limited. If you need to use that parking, please email me at [email protected]. I shall collect your requests over a couple of weeks, then allocate the spaces as fairly as I can and reply to let you know what is possible.
