Charlton : Holy Trinity

Built to a design by William Butterfield (1814-1900) the church was first established in 1848. Little remains of the original building and the present red brick church dates from 1907. .Originally the church was at the heart of an agricultural community and, more recently, is close to the new Kingsgrove housing developments, two primary schools, adult day centre and a local shop.

About this church

The church was extended and refurbished in 2018 to improve access, provide kitchen and toilet facilities and a flexible space along with improved heating and lighting. There is a sound system, hearing loop, piano and organ. A flexible worship and community space has been created with stacking chairs so that the floor space can be completely cleared or rapidly reconfigured.
