Heythrop : St Nicholas Ancient

The Norman church of Saint Nicholas was demolished and only the Chancel has been preserved as a Mortuary Chapel.

About this church

The Chapel’s West doorway has interesting external carvings. The 13th century mouldings from the demolished nave of the old church have been incorporated into the new 19th century church.
