Blenheim Lecture 2021: Dr Simon Bradley on revising Pevsner

13th October 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 9:45 pm

£38.00

Dr Bradley, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and of St John’s College, Oxford, is an expert on historic architecture and has published widely on buildings ranging from churches to our great Victorian railway stations.  He is editor for a number of the new revisions of Pevsner’s architectural guide – members may have seen his new editions on Cambridgeshire, Westminster, and the City of London.  He will tell us about his work and, in particular, about what he has learned in his latest task – the revision for Oxford and Oxfordshire.  We can look forward to gaining new insights into buildings many of which we will know and which we may well wish to revisit in the light of his talk.

As is our custom, we shall start the evening with a drinks reception and buffet supper in the Orangery of the Palace.

The Trust is grateful to his Grace, the Duke of Marlborough for generously allowing us the use of the Palace.
