David Warr will lead a tour in the north of the county to a group of churches which are built from iron-rich limestone. These will be St John the Baptist, Hornton; St Etheldreda, Horley; St Peter, Hanwell; and All Saints, Wroxton. We shall, in particular, see fine medieval wall paintings and stone carvings. A light lunch is included at the Rose and Crown, Ratley. There will be a repeat of this tour on May 19th. Please note that this tour will involve some walking and a need to negotiate steps and uneven ground. Detailed instructions will be sent to those who book.
