This is an event to support those who are planning repairs or improvements to their churches – and those who want to do so, but who need help to get started.
Our host for the evening, St Mary & St Nicholas, Littlemore has recently completed a major refurbishment including repairs to the tower, the reconfiguration of the vestry to make a new space for the Junior Church, and the installation of a new organ gallery with a small kitchen and toilet facilities. The heating and lighting were renewed at the same time.
We shall hear from representatives of the C of E DAC (Diocesan Advisory Council) on the regulation of building works, from the conservation architect, Christian Randall, who designed the project, and from the Vicar, the Revd Margreet Armitstead. Our Grants Officer will describe how to apply to the OHCT for a grant and describe other sources of funding.
