Online Lecture on G E Street

Dr Richard Peats of Historic England will give a talk on the work of G E Street in churches in Oxfordshire. Street was Architect to the Oxford Diocesan Church Building Society from 1850 – 1881, and he designed seven new churches, including St Mary the Virgin, Wheatley (shown here), and SS Philip and James, Oxford; and he made extensive alterations to many others. There are some 37 examples of his work across the county.  Do join us to learn more about this distinguished Victorian architect. The talk will be given by Zoom.
