Wolfson Lecture 2023: The Commonwealth War Graves Commission – what does it really do? A talk by Sir Tim Hitchens, President of Wolfson College

23rd June 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:45 pm

£30.00

Sir Timothy Hitchens, KCVO CMG, has kindly agreed to talk on the work of the War Graves Commission.  He was a diplomat in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and, amongst other roles, he has been UK Ambassador to Japan and Assistant Private Secretary to the late Queen.  He became President of Wolfson College in 2018, and he joined the Commonwealth War Graves Commission 2019.

After the lecture, there will be drinks and canapes (weather permitting) on the lawn overlooking the river.

We shall gather from 5:00 p.m., and the lecture will start at 5:30.  On-street parking is available nearby, there is ample room to drop off passengers and turn cars outside the college, and the college buildings and grounds are accessible for all.
