Our speaker will be Fergus Butler-Gallie, the Vicar of Charlbury with Shorthampton. He is widely known for his lively and provocative writing in the press (The FT, Telegraph, Church Times and online): his books include ‘A Field Guide to the English Clergy’ and ‘Touching Cloth – confessions and communions of a young priest’. He will give a talk based on his most recent book “Twelve Churches: An unlikely history of the buildings that made Christianity”.
This will be followed by early evening drinks and canapés, we hope, on the lawn by the river.
