Richard Hughes is the new secretary of the Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust, having taken over from Jonathan Scheele.

Richard has been involved with OHCT for a relatively short period of time, but brings a wealth of relevant experience to the task of being a committee member.

He has been fascinated with church buildings since childhood and has a history degree from Cambridge. He taught RE before becoming director of education for the Diocese of Salisbury.

Most recently he was an administrator with the University of Oxford.

He lives in North Oxford and has been OHCT’s alternate area rep for Woodstock.
