At the June council meeting the trust committed just over £52,000 to seven Oxfordshire churches to support the necessary maintenance, repair and protection of these exquisite and historic places of worship.

Individual grants range from £20,000 for the creation of new community space at St Mary, Longcot; £10,000 for stonework repairs at St Andrew, Chinnor; £7,000 for a replacement roof at All Saints, Cuddesdon; £5,000 to Charlbury Methodist for restoration and repair of windows; and £5,000 for overhaul to the organ at St Mary, Childrey.  

A sum of just under £5,000 has been awarded to fund the installation of roof alarms.
