For our second special event to celebrate our 60th anniversary, we are the guests of our Patron Bernard Taylor and his wife, Sarah, at Rycote Park.
Our formal business, chaired by the Bishop of Dorchester, will start at 3:30 and take about an hour. Light refreshment will be available beforehand. Joining instructions and papers for the meeting will be posted in advance on the Trust website.
Afterwards, there will be ample time to walk in the Park and see Rycote Chapel with its fine pre-reformation woodwork and early Jacobean musicians’ gallery. Princess Elizabeth worshipped here when she was ‘exiled’ to Oxfordshire by her half-sister, Mary, and she visited on several occasions after becoming Queen. Said Evensong will follow for those who wish at around 5:30, and the Taylors have kindly invited all to stay for drinks and canapés (closing at 7:00).
So we can judge for catering, please book to let us know if you are coming to the Meeting alone or to the Meeting + Reception
Thanks to the generosity of our hosts, we do not need to make any charge, but we do hope you will please visit our donations page and make a donation to the Trust.
