Now that the dark evenings have returned and with many churches remaining closed, if you have lead or copper on your church roof and it is not fitted with a roof alarm, OHCT would strongly encourage you to move before you are hit with a theft from that part of the roof.
The OHCT has been running a campaign for almost 4 years to help Oxfordshire churches, Church of England, Roman Catholic or any other Christian denomination, to fit a roof alarm. To date it has awarded over 50 grants which has helped to protect over 11,000 sq. metres of lead and around 2,000 sq. metres of copper.
Our campaign aims to meet 50% of the costs of installation up to a maximum grant of £2,500. We are assisted with our scheme through a generous grant from Allchurches Trust.
